Ferocactus californicus. A rare natural hybrid of Ferocactus peninsulae & Ferocactus rectispinus. Full sun, heat tolerant, needs little water. Hardy to 20°F. Solitary barrel grows to 5' tall; 20" diameter. Long curved red spines. Brownish yellow to orange flowers. Origin: California.
