Astrophytum coahuilense. USDA 9b-10. Hardy to 20° F. Full sun to part shade. Solitary columnar or globose cactus, up to 2' tall, 8" in diameter. Moderate water in summer, no water in winter.  Flowers are yellow with a red center.  Seeds germinate rapidly. Origin: Highlands of central and northern Mexico.
